Allium Sativum commonly known as garlic is a species in the onion family Alliaceae. The first use of garlic is that of seasoning, but at the same time, it is used for both culinary and medicinal purpose throughout recorded history.

Garlic is a plant with many medical activities; the most interesting activity among them is anti platelet. Allicina and other substances demonstrate to reduce strongly the action of the piastrine to gather itself to make clots. This action is important because the anti platelet reduces the risk of thrombotic phenomenon in blood vessels which can cause serious consequences.

 

Action on Choresterols

 

This plant has the ability to reduce cholesterols. A recent research demonstrates that extract dry Garlic possesses the best action on cholesterols. An experiment also proved that ingesting 300mg of allcina for 2 years had beneficial effects to protect the vain from evolution of atherosclerosis. The fact is that ant platelet action of Garlic which reduces cholesterol is a good remedy to prevent atherosclerosis, obesity, diabetes, hyper tense and high level of cholesterol and high blood pressure.

 

Anti infection

 

Traditionally Garlic is known for his antibacterial action, against many germs that causes infection on upper respiratory. It stops bacteria to increase it and destroys the germs. It is known also against skin problems because of its antiviral activities.
